Description

This bee probably was enough tired and cold to permit me to take the shoot in low light and without tripod.
Really many thanks to the model :)

Adding a 5th "Wow"! Very nice Andrea and yes I like the frame you've made here. The bee is perfectly sharp. Colors are vivid. A beautiful composition as well. I might crop some from the top.

Very nice work!

Bees can be damn difficult. I spent most of the day yesterday by a bush surrounded by 200 bees. Took 200 shots. Nothing came half as good as this.

Needed a bit more space from the right.

Well, Patrick says this should go on top of the chart then... Patrick have reason. Top mark from me, and see you there :)

Great detail and colours. (I'm not sure it's really a bee - some types of flies have colours that resemble bees.)

Everything's been said... except I believe this is actually a fly.
They like to hover. In fact, I think that's what it's called.

A perfect bee. I love the clean yellows and, again, these beasts don't like posing, so here I can see really good work done by you :)

Concept:

Average

Technical Skill:

Strong

Impact/impression:

Average
Pros:
Technically this is a very good one. Focus on all the right places, all the details are crisp and clear and it's just a thrill to be able to observe something so small. Also love the composition and colors, very smooth work. + I love bees :p simple as that
Cons:
Well, unfortunately, the subject's pretty common, so conceptwise this isn't really that strong. Also, without the title one wouldn't know the connection to winter time etc., so in my opinion the title and the image itself could be linked together better.
Overall opinion/feedback:
Even though it's technically excellent, it still remains as something that's been seen before. But it's still really nice to look at, and would surely look good on someone's wall.
Gotta give you 8 for this one :)
