Nice capture Andrea. Hard to do. Perhaps a 1/2 step lower exposure. It would be much better if the bee were facing the viewer. I'd clone out the white specks which I'm assuming are pollen.

nice capture...but it seems a bit dull IMHO...saturation is a bit low...

@Michelle... of course a the face is better... but in this case please... for one time keep in mind the artistic sense ... here the main topics is exactly the bee flying away cause of the title... the pollen left in the air represent this like the back side of bee....
@GTO yes a bit... for this reason I don't like so much to use the flash...

Very cool capture! I really like the pollen in the air, it adds to the whole theme like you mentioned. Don't think the saturation is too low either.
Must be very hard to capture a bee in flight this sharp, specially his wings!

Nice shot Andrea, difficult subject. Good composition. One stop down with exposure or flash intensity would have given you a shorter exposure time and better exposure of the flower.
