Description

"He was flying over a sea, toward a jagged shoreline. A very few
seagulls were working the updrafts on the cliffs. Away off to
the north, at the horizon itself, flew a few others. New sights,
new thoughts, new questions. "

[Jonathan Livingston Seagull - by Richard Bach]

The cut off wings is not working for me.

I wish you had them inside the composition and with some space around.

Nice clarity and sharpness though.

I agree with Patrick on the wings but overall this is a good capture. Good exposure and focus which for a moving subject and bright background are not easy to do.

the cut of the wing is not my post editing choice but just to narrow closeup during the shots... I would like to have more time and more experience, but I was on a boat and these guys was terribly excited ;)

Yeap, the Golden Masters said all. However, nice idea.

Nicely composed and sharp. Somehow I dont mind the crop, but I'd prefer a better exposure of the flank and no shadow on the face and eye.

I don't mind the crop either. It works for gulls because of their very long wings. Nice and sharp with a nice blue sky. Shadows are a distraction though.
