Description

In the Mediterranean sea it is famous a group of islands with active vulcan activities.
One of them is Stromboli island. I visited it three years ago.
It was possible, after climbing for 3 hours reaching the top of vulcano and taking a look to this magnificent explosive activities.
The view in sunset is fantastic... along the see surface it is also possible to see some boats looking this explosion from below...

I prefer also the color version.
Maybe a lower angle would have been preferred and have the "fire" source more off center.

Thank you everybody! for lower angle suggestion... mmm in this case it was absolutely not possible. We were in the border of crater in the only accessible side and at bottom was a bit warm

Opps... it is also a unique picture cause six months later the vulcano raised up it's activities and actually is still not possible to climb up the top!
